James Lusted, 28, used a four-step wooden ladder to climb up next to his 5ft 7in bride Chloe Roberts on their big day (left). It meant the pair were able to stand eye-to-eye – and kiss – as they exchanged marriage vows. The groom said: ‘I had the steps especially made. It meant we could have a proper kiss just like any other couple on their wedding day.’ Mr Lusted and trainee teacher Ms Roberts (inset and right), 22, tied the knot in the traditional ceremony at St Margaret’s Church in Bodelwyddan, North Wales. The groom, who is an actor who performs in pantomimes, has a rare genetic condition called Diastrophic Dysplasia. The pair, who are Christian and have been together for three years, say they plan to start trying for a family.
